October 2021

Well, as I mentioned previously the so-called “supply chain” issues (translated:  opportunity for businesses gouge customers) has officially taken a huge swipe at consumer fireworks.

Prices in 2021 have more than DOUBLED since 2020 and the product availability is almost non-existant.  If you’re planning on wholesaling 1.4g pyro, you’d better get your product this fall as I don’t see anything changing on the horizon.

Sadly, if this continues it could very well mean the end of consumer and display fireworks simply because they’re no longer affordable and fall 100% into the discretionary budgets of most people and business… which would be the first places to cut.

July 2021

Another season for the record books.  Wow, a LOT of changes this year:  Mass product shortages, giant shipping cost increases, consumer product shortages even at the wholesale level (and massive price increases to boot).

Howell 2021 was a rain disaster this year I’m sorry to say.  Saturday got rained out and after returning on Sunday, finishing the set up and towing the barges out – the rain came again, at the worst time.

Definitely hoping that product availability and costs will get back to “normal” for next year, this was a season to forget!
